pasta and pie

what could be better.  i mean really.
mixed pasta [veggie flavored] with chipotle chicken sausage, sauteed arugula, local yellow squash, canned artichoke hearts, a can of roasted diced tomatoes, and parm

and you may have seen my instagram [fauxtography not art.] of pie.  i took it to work.  well received except by two people who ... dont like pie.  wtf. 

mostly successful blind baked crust - i stabbed ~100 holes with a fork and then cut out a circle of parchment paper for the bottom.  at the last minute i added a mini pyrex bowl filled halfway with water, and removed the bowl and parchment with about 2 minutes to spare.  the crust didnt bubble up too much but did manage to crack down one side.  sigh.  next time. 
filling that... didnt follow the recipe at all.  listen here joy of cooking.  i like my fruit pies cooked on the inside.  not large chunks of strawberries surrounded by jelly.  i followed the proportions of the recipe and then completely ignored the rest.
