ive successfully grown baby broccolis!!!! 
yes the leaves are huge and likely overcrowding eachother.  no i didnt know any better.  and just so you know how small they actually are... here's my hand for comparison.

in other beds:

the wildflower mix i threw on top of my bulbs has spring to life.  not sure if smothered the bulbs in the process... but only two calla lilies ever bloomed.  oops.

bush beans and sweet peas are blooming

aaaand i very unceremoniously ripped out most of a lettuce.  i guess i should compost the rest?
