holy crap you guys.  i saw fuel.  back together.  for $13!!  high school dream fulfilled!  it was pretty much what i expected, and they played all the old hits ...and a new song from their soon-to-be-released album.  um... not so great, but i have high hopes for the rest of the album.

birthday weekend!

thursday was my 27th birthday!  late 20's have begun with... an early snowfall, walking to work in a mini-hail storm, and ridiculous deluge of 33 degree rain.  oh weather.

regardless, close friends braved the flooding to celebrate tacos and margaritas with me!

halloween night was spent at the state theater for the fun. concert.  amazing live band and in true guy fashion...they all dressed like women.  more specifically, the cast of friends.  complete with a couch and the central perk sign mounted on the drum set. 

opening band was miniature tigers.  now because i apparently have ADD at concerts and i tend to ignore when the singer says actual words... i was confused by the band name.  at first i heard "imagine dragons" who was in concert a few months ago.  then i heard "bitchin tires".  the third time they said their name [..at the end of the set] i finally figured out it was tiny feral felines. 

potpourri

tomatoes and resulting chopped salad with a little balsamic.  unfortunately my lack of garden is forcing me to buy tomatoes... but a combination of farmer's market and whole foods heirloom toms is pretty damn good.

aka old orchard beach.  some pics i took back in april that never made it online.  really..oob is a crazy drunk tourist spot [the pier is all bars] and a family vacation destination.  both things i like to avoid generally, so i prob wont be going back until after the season.  umm being april though it was about 45 degrees.  i was barefoot...

weekend mishmash

lemon cream and milky way pie/no bake cheesecakes from curry and comfort, made with neufchatel cheese and light/low fat [chemical high] cool whip and homemade graham cracker crust.  [harvey wallbanger cupcakes with triplesec cream cheese frosting on the very right].  background-hand painted pong table.  which is my excuse for a crappy crappy picture of homemade desserts.

george crumb's black angels is by far the weirdest most badass quartet ive heard. specifically written for electric string quartet with additional requirements being: 20 crystal glasses, 6 thimbles, 2 maracas, and the ability to whisper numbers in foreign languages.
